Namaste, Sandy! Thanks so much for reaching out to planDisney. It sounds like you’re ready to stretch into a perfect vacation flow, Downward Dog and all!
At select
Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you’ll find
Storytime Yoga as part of
Disney’s Family Wellness initiative, a free experience designed to help families connect through movement and storytelling. During each 30-minute session, guests of all ages move through yoga poses inspired by beloved Disney tales, such as channeling Simba’s regal stretch or Moana’s adventurous spirit as you flow gently from pose to pose. Disney provides the mats, and there’s no need to reserve a spot; classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend arriving about fifteen minutes early to complete a brief waiver.
If you have older kids or want a more traditional yoga practice set to Disney tunes, look for Disney Fit Yoga. These sessions are geared toward guests aged twelve and up and follow similar guidelines (mats provided, complimentary, and first-arrive, first-served).
These classes are exclusive to resort guests, so once you’ve checked in, just ask for the recreation guide at the front desk to find the day’s schedule and location for Storytime Yoga and related classes. There is also a sign that is usually posted outside near the pool area. Keep in mind that weather or resort policies sometimes shift schedules, so it’s always wise to double-check.
Sandy, I hope this helps you find a moment of peace on your vacation. If any other questions arise, we’re here for you!
Safe travels and happy stretching,
Eean
