I saw a dad panel member discussing the busses at POR and that's where we are going to stay. Am I to understand that the bus could possibly take us 2 hours to get from resort to parks from the time we get on it b/c of extra bus stops at POR?

    Hi Peggy,

I love the staying at Port Orleans Riverside because it is so centrally located to all four parks. I found that on average I have about a 20 minute bus ride to any of the parks.

Without seeing the answer my fellow dad posted, I would have to figure he meant resort to resort. When traveling between two resorts, you usually need a transfer place. This could be a park or Downtown Disney. It could easily be a two hour trip.

Or if he figured you missed a bus and then had to wait another 20 minutes, I could see it taking closer to an hour. And if you add a stop to a water park on the way to Animal Kingdom, he might be right.

I would still keep Port Orleans Riverside on my short list of resorts to stay. I might consider changing it if you have little ones in strollers. This means always being on a bus to tour daily which can be tiring in itself.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
