Hi, I have a Savi’s workshop booking for 09:25 am on Sunday 14 July. The park opens at 9am - do I have enough time to enter the Hollywood Studios Florida at 9 and get to the workshop in 25 minutes? I don’t have early park entry. Thanks Mike

    Hi Michael,

We loved our last visit to Savi's Workshop at Hollywood Studios. I am excited that your crew will be experiencing this immersive Star Wars adventure. You picked the perfect time to build your lightsaber because as soon as you finish you can take photos throughout Galaxy's Edge before that area gets too busy.

The theme park parking lots will typically be open at least 45 minutes before the theme park officially opens. I recommend making sure that you have time to park and be at the entrance to Hollywood Studios by 9:00 AM. If you enter the theme park at 9 AM you will have plenty of time to walk back to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge before your 9:25 AM reservation time. I would also be on the lookout for someone holding a sign for people with early dining reservations. They are not always there but if they are, they may be able to let you in a few minutes before the rest of the crowds enter so you have a little extra time to walk to your destination.

One of my friends recently built lightsabers at Savi's Workshop and then did Capture the Moment: Disney's Hollywood Studios - Batuu. The pictures turned out so fabulously that I highly recommend considering getting professional photos taken of your crew around Batuu with your new lightsabers. You all will have a blast posing and "fighting" with your weapons in front of some of the most iconic locations.

Whether or not you decide to get professional photos taken or just utilize the Disney PhotoPass Service throughout your visit to Batuu, you should get Memory Maker so you can keep all of the fabulous pictures they take of you with and without your lightsabers! If you purchase the option that includes photos for your entire trip, your whole crew will be able to have Disney PhotoPass Photographers snap their pictures at all of the theme parks and everyone will be able to download them!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
