Unfortunately, you will not be able to link a gift card directly to your
MagicBand or My Disney Experience account for purchases. But from my experience, there’s still a way to use a gift card to pay off the balance on your MagicBand!
While your MagicBand will be linked to your credit card, you can visit the front desk at your
Disney World resort to pay off the balance with your gift card before the charges automatically apply to your credit card. When you check in to your resort, you can ask when your charges will be applied so that you can make sure to visit the front desk before that point.
It’s also good to note that when using
Merchandise Mobile Checkout on your
My Disney Experience app when shopping, there’s a feature in which you can scan your gift card for payment. That makes things go even faster when checking out! Plus, if you’re eligible for any discounts, such as
Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club discounts, those will be automatically applied when using that service.
