Will it save time entering the park if backpacks are clear?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tamara! Once upon a time, I thought I needed everything and the kitchen sink (no, not that Kitchen Sink) when spending the day at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Now that I'm older and wiser, I've learned how to pare down my Park bag so I can get through the lines at security quicker and be first in line for Space Mountain!

Clear bags are all the rage, and there are some super cute options, including the popular Loungefly design sold on shopDisney. Although it might save you a few seconds, even clear bags are subjected to the same security search as other bags, so you will still need to unzip your backpack and allow the guards to look in it. Here are a few things you can do to help speed up the process:

*If at all possible, try not to bring a bag. I know this isn't a viable option for most, but we try to pack everything into one bag so one parent can go through the "no bag" line while the other parent stays back and goes through bag check.
*If you have bags stored underneath your stroller, have them out and ready before getting to the bag check table.
*Make sure your bag is off your back and all the compartments are unzipped. I even open up my sunglass glass case and unzip my poncho pouch.
*Take Beyoncé's advice and stay to the left. Studies show the lines on the left are usually quicker than the ones on the right!

I hope this helps, Tamara! Please write back if there's anything else we can help you with!
