Welcome aboard, Christopher!
Disney Cruise Line is the perfect vacation for everyone, no matter their ages! My husband and I usually sail with our two kiddos, but there have been a few sailings where we've left them at home with family and enjoyed a week at sea, just the two of us! Truly, there is
something for everyone at sea with Disney! I don't know who you'll be sailing with, but you're in for one magical adventure no matter what!
When we book our cruises, we usually book our own flights separately. I'm a deal seeker, so I enjoy hunting down the best bargains on flight prices. Disney has booked our flights for us before, but they do not offer any special prices versus what you can get yourself by booking directly with the airline. So, when I want the convenience of letting Disney do all the planning, I've turned it over to them to book it all. Other times, I do really like to book my own flights. So, it's up to you, Christopher. You might compare some flight prices before talking to Disney Cruise Line's agents about the flights they could get for you and see what sounds best.
Either way, if you book the
optional Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers from the airport (or if in Orlando, additionally available from the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels) directly to the port, whether you've booked your flights or Disney has, it's definitely the way to go to let Disney do the driving! Then, they'll grab your luggage for you and it'll meet you onboard later in the afternoon. Plus, for certain itineraries and airlines, they offer
onboard airline check-in so that on debarkation day, you simply head straight from the ship to the airport and you're already checked in while your bags make their way to your home airport. It couldn't be easier, Christopher.
Have fun planning and please let us know if we can assist with any other questions while you count down to the big sail date!
