Waving hello to you Angela!
Welcome back to planDisney. I'll be sailing on
Disney Wish for the very first time next month, and like you, I'm in full planning mode. I'm just so excited to experience everything this gorgeous ship has to offer! We always try to strike a balance between adventure and relaxation on our
Disney Cruise Line sailings, yet we always leave wanting more time for both. I'm convinced cruise time moves just a little bit faster because our magical voyages always seem to end before we're ready.
You're smart to already be looking into
Port Adventures. There are quite a few options to choose from, so you'll definitely want to make a good game plan for your time in Nassau, Bahamas. I took a look at some of the shorter options and it looks like travel time is factored in to the total timing. The Discover Nassau Harbor Cruise, for instance, is listed as 1-1.5 hours long and mentions a 15 min walk to the dock followed by a one-hour leisurely catamaran cruise. You'll receive more detailed instructions for your meeting location and time prior to your excursion, but you will need to be checked in at the designated location at the time you've reserved.
I reached out to a friendly Cast Member who reminded me that timing may vary and is subject to change, so if you are hoping to reserve an onboard activity like a spa service or
Adult-Exclusive Dining after your Port Adventure, I'd leave some extra time as a cushion. If you have any more specific questions you can visit the
Port Adventures Desk when you board the ship.
Disney Cruise Line will be celebrating its
Silver Anniversary at Sea this summer on select sailings between May and September. Based on my research, it looks like you'll be able to enjoy the celebration with exclusive entertainment, food, and merchandise offerings during your sailing. I'm so excited for you!
Come back and "sea" us again with any other questions as you prepare for your most magical voyage.
Anchors Aweigh!
