Hello, Amy!
Welcome back to planDisney! Your cruise is just over the horizon, I hope you are enjoying the final days of your countdown before it's time to embark!
Castaway Cay is the definition of island paradise and
parasailing is my #1 favorite Port Adventure! I have done it several times over the years and always found it to be beautiful and surprisingly relaxing. However, I understand that flying through the air may not float everyone's boat. Your husband and sons will meet at Marge's Barges, which is quite near where the Wish will be docked. When your family goes to check in you should return to the Wish and head up to Deck 14 to watch from Chip 'n Dale's Pool! There isn't a set route for the parasailing boats to follow, so I can't promise how much you'll be able to see, but that spot is your best bet on being able to see your guys while they soar along like they're powered by pixie dust.
Another option is to head back to the ship a little ahead of your family, so that you have time to stop by
Currents on Deck 13 for a cool drink before you head up to Deck 14. Ahhh, I already feel relaxed! You may be able to capture some photos or video of your crew from the ship, but they're also welcome to take their own camera on their Port Adventure. Just know that taking a camera is at your own risk, so it might be a good idea to invest in a lanyard to keep a camera secure while they fly!
There's an
interactive map of Castaway Cay at this link (a computer works best for exploring) that might help you prepare for your day in paradise! After a long day in the sun, my favorite thing to do is order some
room service to snack on while my family gets showered and cleaned up for dinner. If you happen to have a verandah on the side that faces the dock don't forget to peek outside and wave and say "See ya real soon!" to the Cast Members on the island when it's time for the ship to leave!
Amy, I'm wishing for you to have the most wonderful cruise with your husband and boys. I hope it's a vacation that you'll cherish for years to come! Happy sailing!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
