Hello Jennifer! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
How absolutely exciting that you will be setting sail aboard the Disney Fantasy in just ten short days! Concierge level is my FAVORITE way to sail with Captain Mickey! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience Disney Cruise Line in this way. I think my husband would spend the entire length of our cruise in the Concierge Lounge if we let him. He loves getting to know the Concierge team and of course, sampling all of those drinks and treats!
The reason we are in the Concierge Lounge so often is because of the amazing Concierge team. They truly provide first class service! While I do not know the details of their employment contract, I can tell you in my experience they do not expect, but are grateful for, any gratuity you feel they have earned. There is not a recommended or
prepaid amount outlined by Disney Cruise Line for the Concierge team.
My family and I chose to recognize the Concierge team for all they do for us while onboard; the little things like having popcorn ready for the kids before the evening's show, dancing with my daughter and talking basketball with my son. My children always bring colored pencils and paper on the cruise to make cards for each member of the team. My husband and I bring little thank you notes and altogether we present our gratuity and cards to them on the last night of our sailing. In the past my family has tipped $50-$100 per night for our party of four and have left more when we can or felt it was appropriate (like when Betty "shook it up" really nice for us at Bingo or when they found my husband a charge cord for his razor). This is just an idea of what my family does to help you with your decision. Gratuity is completely at your discretion!
Bon Voyage! Angie
