    Sailing on 3/28/13, just to be sure. The colored tags that we received for the luggage. Do we strap them to the bags before leaving the hotel? we r flying in a day before and staying in cocoa beach. also who takes the bags at the Port Thanks Much.

    Welcome aboard, Silvio! Wow, only a couple days until you set sail with Disney Cruise Line! I bet you are so excited. Those bags must be almost fully packed by now!

    I think it's a great idea to fly in the day before and stay at a hotel. This ensures that even if you run into flight delays, you won't miss the ship's departure. Since you'll be heading to the port on your own from your hotel, you can simply put your Disney Cruise Line colored tags onto your bags before you leave the hotel. 

    Once you arrive at the port, there will be porters available to take your bags. It's customary to tip them about a dollar or so per bag, so you might want to have that ready. They will take the bags before you head inside, and you won't see your bags again until they arrive in your stateroom later that afternoon.

    Be sure to pack in your carry-on bags anything you'll need until then: swimsuits if you want to head straight to the pool, any medication you'll need, a couple snacks for the kids to munch on while you wait to board the ship, and any other necessities. Inside the port terminal, you'll check in, receive your boarding group number and then relax until it is your family's turn to board the ship. Have your camera ready because sometimes Mickey and Minnie make appearances in the terminal for photos with guests!
