We will be sailing in October on the Western Caribbean Cruise. We will have two 4 year olds, a 2 year old, and a 1 year old (only the 4 and 1 yr old are mine! haha). Any recommendations on excursions in that region? Thanks!

    Hello again, Phoebe!

My favorite Disney Cruise Line Itinerary is the Western Caribbean! After checking on the Disney Cruise Line website to verify your ports, I am ready to give you some wonderful suggestions for Port Adventures!

First of all, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, is my absolute favorite port of call! I am so excited that your family will be visiting there. You might consider the Grand Cayman Island Tour, which takes you on an air-conditioned bus ride around the island, including a stop at the Cayman Islands Turtle Farm with your little ones. There, you will get to see sea turtles of all sizes, and maybe even get to hold a turtle or two. Our children loved the Turtle Farm on our Western Caribbean Cruise.

In Cozumel, you can't go wrong with a visit to one of their beautiful beaches! You might take a look at the Cozumel Beach Break Port Adventure. I haven't done this with my family, but it is kid-friendly for your small cruisers.

In Falmouth, many of the Port Adventures are not family-friendly. You might take a day to explore the Disney Fantasy with many of the passengers off the ship! We usually treat Nassau as a "day on the ship" and partake in spa treatments, onboard fun with characters, and Midship Detective Agency. I would not recommend just "wandering" around in Jamaica.

Be sure to pack some small sand toys for your kiddos to enjoy at the various beaches that you visit. Socks and underthings fit quite nicely inside sand buckets in the luggage!

I hope this helps with planning for your first sailing on the Disney Fantasy. I look forward to more questions from you!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
