Welcome aboard, Marcia, and a big hello from your fellow Ohioan!
Not only will you be sailing on one of the amazingly festive
Very Merrytime Cruises, but you'll also get to enjoy Thanksgiving Day onboard the Disney Dream! My family has really enjoyed each time we've sailed during the holidays. The ship is decorated from bow to stern, there are fun Christmas activities and deck parties, Santa makes an appearance or two and the Disney characters are decked out in their Christmas outfits. If you have Christmas outfits of your own, bring them along, so that you can take advantage of some great photo opportunities and maybe even take a picture for your Christmas card! Last year, we got some of our favorite Christmas photos ever, with Santa and the kids outside the Walt Disney Theatre, and the kids with Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas attire. You're sure to find the same and even more great photo opportunities.
My kids loved the Deck the Deck Tropical Party, with Christmas games, dancing and music, out on deck. I cherish the memories of their huge smiles as they were up on stage doing the limbo with Chip and Dale! And you won't want to miss King Triton's Tree Lighting Ceremony, most likely on your first night. One lucky child will be chosen to hold King Triton's trident and actually light the tree!
Now, let's talk about
Thanksgiving! That night onboard, you'll be treated to a feast fit for royalty, Disney royalty that is! You'll be served the most wonderful traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner that night. Believe me, you'll have so much to be thankful for, when you let Disney take care of all the details this year. You show up, live in the moment enjoying the holidays at sea with your family and making memories you'll always cherish! Have fun planning, Marcia!
