We are sailing on the 8-night Bahamian cruise out of New York in June 2012. How is transportation handled from Port Canaveral to the Disney Theme parks for that one day in port?

    Ahoy there Doreen!

I'm very excited to hear you will be cruising out of one of Disney's newest home ports, New York City!  As you sail away on the Magic, you will be able to take in the magnificent New York skyline and the Statue of Liberty! What a spectacular way to begin your magical voyage!

I love that Disney Cruise Line is including a fun-filled day at the Walt Disney World Resort for each Guest sailing on the Bahamian itinerary.  On the morning you are docked in Port Canaveral, you will disembark the ship with your passports, Key to the World cards (which will be your park tickets for the day), and anything else you might need for a day at the parks.  You will have to pass through customs before boarding an air-conditioned motor coach for your hour long ride to WDW.  Once you arrive at the park of your choice, you can stay there all day or hop from park to park.  To get from one park to another you will use the complimentary Disney transportation system which includes the monorail, boats and buses.  Your return travel back to the port begins at 3:30pm, and all Guests must be onboard by midnight.  This gives you plenty of time to experience Disney on land in the midst of your cruise vacation!

I hope my answer helps with your planning!  As you continue to prepare, please let me know if I can help you further!

Have a wonderful day and magical cruise!
