Welcome back, Danielle! The two Classic Disney Cruise Line ships, the Magic and the Wonder, are actually my favorite ships. I really prefer the smaller ships for their more intimate atmosphere.
The smaller ships are just as chock full of activities as the larger ships, but you'll have less guests, so you'll enjoy more opportunities to participate! Plus, on the Magic, you're in for all different restaurants, Broadway-style shows, and pool deck fun than you experienced on the Fantasy. I adore the new
Rapunzel's Royal Table restaurant on the Magic. It's not just a dinner, it's an experience! Flynn Rider and Rapunzel our favorites in our family, so getting to enjoy time with them during dinner, and with the hilarious Snuggly Duckling Thugs, is so much fun!
Up on deck, if you're a thrill-lover, you absolutely must check out the
AquaDunk. Not a watercoaster like the AquaDuck on the Fantasy, but a thrilling drop slide. Climb into the capsule and listen to Huey, Dewey, and Louie count down, 3, 2, 1, and you're dropped straight down into the slide. It's exhilarating!
The New York City cruise terminal isn't set up quite the same as Disney's terminal in Port Canaveral, but Disney directs guests into the terminal to check in, wait for your boarding number, and then board when it's time, so you won't have any problems at all! When you arrive back after the cruise, taxis, or better yet, Uber or Lyfts are super easy to get. If you're not taking
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transfers, I'd suggest an Uber or Lyft (be sure to download the apps prior), which may cost less than a taxi, but all three are easily available.
You're in for a magical time!
