Welcome aboard, Kenneth!
It's time to begin the big countdown for your
Disney Magic sailing! Your family must be so excited to head out to sea with Disney in just a couple of weeks!
Since this is your first cruise, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the size of
Disney Cruise Line's staterooms. They are larger than your average stateroom on another cruise line, and really have space for everything. Disney is so good at the details, that's for sure! Bags can fit under the queen-sized bed, so those are out of the way, allowing you to move freely about the stateroom and not feel too cramped. Plus, there is lots of storage. Drawers and cabinets galore!
If your taller family member will be sleeping on the sofa bed, just ask for a few extra pillows. The sofa that converts to a bed is a standard single, but the arms of the sofa are low, not high and confining, so if he or she stacks some extra pillows on one end, that will help make it feel longer. The back of the sofa folds down, creating a bed length-wise on the couch, not a typical pull out couch style. Since it folds down, it's higher than the couch seating, being about even with those arm rests. I know a few taller folks who have sailed with Disney and felt just fine sleeping on that pull-out bed, but did ask for extra pillows just to make it a bit more comfy by putting them over the arm rest at the end of the bed to make the bed feel a bit longer.
Have such an amazing cruise experience next month, Kenneth!
