We're sailing on Jan29-Feb.3 from Miami. I accidentally booked our return flight Feb.3 at 12:40 (and we're from Canada, so check-in is 2hrs prior). How rushed are we going to be on disembarkation day? What's the most efficient transportation back to airpor

    Ahoy, Claudia!

While an 12:20pm flight might feel like it is cutting it close, you should be able to make it. Typically, our family is walking off our Disney Cruise by 9am, even with a late breakfast. If you want to plan to be one of the first families off the ship, just in case, here are some tips for getting your family off the ship quicker:

Do NOT put out your luggage the last night of your cruise. Plan to carry your luggage off in the            morning with you. Sometimes the longest part of the morning is finding our luggage and getting through customs.

Head up to Cabanas for breakfast. If you go to your assigned restaurant, it will take much longer than running up to the buffet for a quick bite. Be sure to tell your dining room serving team if you         will not be seeing them in the morning.

Be in the atrium before the ship clears customs. You will want to be first in line to disembark the ship.

Typically the ship will clear customs by 8am.

Now, here is the trickiest part. If you are planning to take a taxi, you will need to be prepared to wait in a long line. It might be a good idea to pre-arrange a private transfer to the airport. When we cruised out of Miami, we had a bit of a challenge to make a 12:20pm flight out of Fort Lauderdale to Chicago.

Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel again with any questions that you think of before you set sail in just a few more months!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
