Hi! We are sailing for our first time on the Fantasy in 2018. If we choose to order room service for dinner one night and tip for that, are we still to include a tip for the dining room servers for that meal if we don't go to the dining room at all?

    Ahoy, Lauren!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your FIRST sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line! I just know you'll fall in love with the magic of Disney at sea when you step foot on this spectacular vessel. I've been lucky enough to enjoy a few vacations on the Disney Fantasy and was sprinkled with pixie dust on each one!

When my family began sailing with Disney Cruise Line, I remember being a little confused on how gratuities work since it's different than a land-based vacation. Once aboard, I learned very quickly what sets Disney Cruise Line's service apart. Your dining team and stateroom host or hostess will take phenomenal care of your crew while you enjoy your 7-night vacation! They'll get to know your preferences by Day Two, and you'll want them to travel home with you when it's time to say "Sea Ya' Real Soon!" And trust me, I've been on other cruise lines, and Disney just gets it right when it comes to their incredible Cast and Crew! Because of this extraordinary service, you'll want to thank your dining team and stateroom host or hostess. Disney Cruise Line makes it easy by setting an amount to be paid either before you set sail, (call an agent at (800) 951-3532 at least three days prior to sailing to have this charged beforehand) or it will be automatically charged to your stateroom account during your sailing. To adjust the set amount, you will need to stop by Guest Services.

Tips for bar or beverage service (15 percent gratuity) or spa services (18 percent) will automatically be charged to your bill at the time of service and will show up on your stateroom account. Room service tips are at your discretion. My personal preference is to bring along small bills to tip room service attendants in cash.

Lauren, thank you for the question! We hope you'll come back to "sea" us real soon!
