Welcome aboard, Judith! How exciting that your family is going to be setting sail on the Disney Fantasy this fall!
You should absolutely pack pirate costumes for the whole family, adults included for Pirate Night. My husband was a bit reluctant to pack pirate gear for himself before we sailed with Disney for the first time, but he was so glad that he did, as he saw how many people really get into the fun of that night. Now, he's the one insisting we always have our pirate costumes in the suitcases when we sail! Guests usually wear their pirate gear and accessories starting at dinner and into the night. Dinner is a pirate-themed menu, and even your servers will be wearing their swashbuckling best that night. All guests will also be given a Mickey's Pirates IN The Caribbean bandana to wear. After dinner, head up on deck for some pirate games and activities and later on you'll get to enjoy the Pirate Night Deck Party, complete with fireworks at sea like only Disney can do! I promise you won't be the only ones dressed up!
Now, speaking of dressing up, since you are on the
Halloween on the High Seas cruise, you'll want to save even more room in your suitcase for Halloween costumes for the kids, and again, yes, the adults too! Check out Disney Cruise Line's website for all the fun you can expect. I'm especially excited about the
brand new pumpkin trees that will be debuting on all four ships this year! But, back to costumes. The kids will want to go trick or treating in costume at Mickey's Mouse-querade Party, and you'll want yours for the adults-only party, that includes a costume contest. So, be creative, have fun and come up with some great costumes to add to your pirate attire. You may need an extra suitcase!
Have so much fun planning, Judith!
