We are sailing on the Fantasy in May 2013 and Im confused about tipping? I thought that I was told that the tip is added to your stateroom at the cost of $12 per day, per person? 4 ppl in our group on a 7 day cruise, so do they deduct $336? Mandatory?

Ahoy Daniel!

I have been fortunate to sail on the Disney Fantasy, and she is fantastical! Your family is going to have an AMAZING experience from the moment you step aboard this spectacular vessel. The service you receive from the outstanding crewmembers will blow you away! On the last night of your magical voyage, you will be able to thank your dining servers and stateroom host or hostess for all they have done to make your time onboard just perfect. Although the $12 per day is not mandatory, most Guests do follow the Gratuity Guidelines set forth by Disney Cruise Line. You can pre-pay your gratuities up to three days prior to sailing or by visiting Guest Services before the last night of your cruise. Cash is also acceptable and envelopes are available onboard. If you pre-pay, gratuity tickets and envelopes will be delivered to your stateroom by the end of the sailing so you can hand them out on the last night.
