We are sailing on the Fantasy Jan 4, 2014 for our honeymoon.... can you tell me how arriving and boarding the ship works? When can we actually get on the ship and into our stateroom? What then is a good port arrival time to choose?

    Ahoy Susan!
Congratulations!  A Disneymoon on the Disney Fantasy is the absolute perfect way to begin your married life with your soon-to-be husband!  I'm so excited for the two of you!
If you are driving to the port, you will find Disney's terminal parking lot very user friendly.  Curb-side drop-off is available, and porters will be there to assist you.  In the cruise terminal, you will check in with a castmember who will review your cruise documents and passport and in return give you your "Key to the World" cards and a boarding card.  This boarding card does coordinate with the port arrival time you pick online so be sure to arrive around the time you select so you won't have to wait too long in the terminal.  The terminal is very spacious with TVs in the seating areas, an outside observation deck, a large model of the Disney Magic and you may even spot your favorite Disney pals while you are waiting.  Once your boarding number is called you will proceed through the golden Mickey ears, have a embarkation picture taken and head up the gangway to the ship!  Boarding usually begins around 11:30-11:45 AM, but it all depends on when the ship is cleared for the next Guests.  Staterooms are ready at 1:30 PM so if you board before then you can enjoy your first lunch onboard and begin to the explore the ship! My family always like to board as soon as possible so we select the earliest boarding time we can. The terminal is always a bit more crowded the earlier you choose so if you don't want much of a wait a time after 12:30 is best.
I hope I've given you a good idea of what to expect, Susan!  Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel with your questions!
    Have a magical day!
