We are sailing on the Fantasy for our 20th anniversary. We would like to dine at either Remy or Palo on our anniversary night. Neither of us likes seafood, so which restaurant do you think would be the better choice?
Thank you!”
Welcome back, Kuleen! Congratulations on 20 years of marriage! What a fantastic milestone and a wonderful way to celebrate: by setting sail on the Disney Fantasy! I promise you will not be disappointed with the amazing adult offerings when you sail with Disney Cruise Line.
Both Remy and Palo are fabulous adult exclusive restaurants, so you can't go wrong with either one. There is a price difference between the two, and the length of time that you'll enjoy your meal can vary too, usually being longer in Remy, as it involves many more courses. Now, one entire course of the Remy menu you'll be offered is a seafood course. If you do not like seafood, you'll miss out on that course, though they can work with you on substitutions, and many non-seafood lovers do this all the time. But, that seafood course is a highlight in the menu for me.
However, at Palo, which is actually my favorite restaurant, the courses are not set up the same way, so you will choose whatever you'd like for your appetizer, main course, and dessert, as there isn't a specific seafood course, though there is seafood offered. The filet at Palo is to die for, and though I've tried other items there, I always go back to the filet. If you do dine at Palo, a few other recommendations I have for you are the mushroom risotto, a Palo signature dish, and another of my favorites, and also the chocolate souffle for dessert. Again, I've tried other desserts, but the chocolate souffle is my go-to dessert at Palo. If I order something different, my husband usually will order the souffle, just so we can still have it! That's the fun thing too, you can each order different items and share! That means more tastes of all the delicious offerings!
Of course, you could always book a meal at both. Perhaps a brunch at one and a dinner at the other. Both Palo and Remy are not only fabulous for their menus, but for the experience and atmosphere, so I hope you can enjoy them both when you sail! Happy planning, Kuleen!
