Ahoy Kimberly!
I love my job as one of the Cruise Moms because it is wonderful to be able to spread pixie dust to future cruisers like you! I just know your Alaskan voyage on the majestic Wonder is going to be an amazing adventure for your family!
Due to Alaskan maritime laws, Pirates IN the Caribbean Night will take place without the fireworks. This night will still be a swashbuckling good time with a pirate-themed dinner with Caribbean fare, pirate game shows like "A Pirate's Life For Me," and of course the Buccaneer Blast Deck Party! So, don't forget to pack your pirate wear or visit Mickey's Mates onboard for your attire!
There will be one formal and one semi-formal night during your seven-day voyage. You will see men in tuxedos and suits and ladies in long-gowns and cocktail dresses. Other Guests will be in less dressy but still not quite as casual as other nights. It is really up to you how "fancy" you want to be. My family doesn't usually get dressed up at home so I like to be able to dress up for a couple of hours to enjoy a nice dinner and have some wonderful family photos taken by the ship's photographers!
If you haven't already, be sure to check out
Andi's Alaskan Videos. She was the 2011 Cruise Mom and sailed to Alaska with her family last summer! They are quite informative and a valuable resource for you.
I hope this helps with your planning! As you continue to prepare for your upcoming voyage, please let me know how else I can assist you.
Have a "Wonder"ful day!
Nancy
