We're sailing on the DW on 11/2 with my 6 month old son and my 5 year old daughter. Should I pack long sleeve or short sleeve clothing for my family? What's the temperature in/out of the ship during the day and night?Whats the temp is the nursery and lab?

Welcome aboard, Yolanda! It looks like you'll be setting sail out of Galveston on the Disney Wonder just before my family does this fall!

While temperatures in the Caribbean and Bahamas in November can range from lows in the 70's and highs in the 80's, you'll also want to pack a sweater or light jacket for cooler evenings on deck and if you tend to get chilly inside. I always get cold, even in the summer, so I bring along a sweater, especially on deck when it gets a bit windy, and inside the ship where temperatures can vary. While I don't know exactly what temperature the inside of the ship is set to, I would definitely recommend dressing in light layers if you tend to get cold. Then, you'll feel comfortable, but can easily peel off the top sweater layer if you are warm.

Little ones don't tend to get as cold as us adults, it seems, since they are always moving and very busy! But, it's never a bad idea to send along a sweatshirt or sweater when they head into the Youth Clubs to play, no matter the time of year. A lightweight long sleeve shirt will be perfect inside. That being said, though, even in January, my son came out of the Oceaneer Club very sweaty sometimes just from all the fun playtime he was having!

But don't forget to pack your summerwear too, because it can get downright hot during the day in port! Coming from Ohio, it's a welcome change to head south for a Disney Cruise in the late fall and winter so I can escape the chilly temperatures at home. I hope you find it a nice break too! Enjoy these last few weeks of planning before you set sail on the Wonder, Yolanda! Let me know if I can help with anything else before you head out to sea!
