Sailing on Dream in May! My boys (4 and 2) prefer fireworks "from a distance". Wondering if the fireworks on the ship are too loud/close? Maybe we should skip the party??

Welcome aboard, Theresa! What magical memories you'll be making with your young boys aboard the Dream very soon! I bet you are getting very excited!

The Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party is always a lot of fun for all ages. It usually begins with some deck games around 9:15 p.m, followed by the Deck Party around 9:45, and ending with the fireworks around 10:45. After a full day of fun on the high seas, your little men might be completely wiped out and already asleep in their beds before the fireworks even begin!

But, if like my kids, somehow they are still wide awake way past their bedtimes, and ready to party like a pirate, be sure to take them up for the festivities onboard. As the pirate party comes to an end, you can always head inside during the fireworks. If you have a verandah off your starboard side stateroom, watching through the glass doors is always an option, and then perhaps moving a bit closer by standing outside on the verandah itself if they feel daring. I haven't tried to watch from here, but you might also be able to stand just inside the doors in the midship funnel by the midship elevators on Deck 12. There are glass doors, and if you face the starboard side, you might be able to see the fireworks in the sky without the noise of being on deck, but it would depend on the crowds just outside those doors.

Good luck as you continue to plan, Theresa. Fireworks or no fireworks, your little buccaneers are sure to have a blast onboard the Dream! Don't forget to pack pirate outfits for them for that special night! Let me know if I can help you with anything else as you continue to plan your cruise!
