Ahoy, Marianne!
Your June sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line sounds just "Dream-y!" Embarkation Day is always exciting because it's finally time for the pixie dust to flow! Disney Cruise Line wants the land to sea transition to be smooth and seamless, so Guests are asked to select a "Port Arrival Time" during the Online Check-In Process. The times are listed in thirty-minute increments and begin around 10:30 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m. These staggered times help with the flow of the check-in process and boarding the ship. Once the ship is cleared, the crew will begin welcoming Guests on board, which is typically around 11:30 a.m. Groups board by a number received at check-in. The number assigned is coordinated with the Port Arrival Time you selected online so if you arrive at 10:30 a.m. for a 1:00 p.m. boarding time, you may receive a higher boarding number. From my past experiences, it doesn't take them too long to go through the numbers. If you are utilizing
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation for the Orlando Airport, you will not be given the option to select a Port Arrival Time because you will arrive when your motor coach arrives! The transfers from the airport begin around 9:00 a.m., and the ride to the port is around an hour. The motor coach will deliver you curbside, and you'll be checking in before you can say, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
