We are sailing on the Dream on Just 1st with 10 adults and 15 grandchildren ages 1-14. I am wondering about taking the toddlers to the Pirate Party. Where should we take them so they will be able to see and participate? Would the early party be best?

Welcome back, Brent! The Pirate Deck Party on the Disney Dream is a really fun event for all ages. There are so many swashbuckling activities and events going on around the ship and on deck that night, you're sure to find one or more that are the right ones for any ages in your family.

Around 7:30 the pirate games begin up on Deck 11, but check your Personal Navigator that day for details as times can change. Head up right after dinner (if you have the early seating) so you can get your little one acquainted before the crowds arrive. My kids love to get in on the fun and play the games that the Cruise Staff team has ready for all the pirates! I remember even when my son was three on the Dream, he loved to jump right in there with the other kids for this fun time! As the games take place right in the middle of the deck, there isn't a "best place" to be for them, so just show up and have fun. If you can then stake out a spot near the roped off stage area, you'll have a great viewing point for the Pirates of the Caribbean show and party right there on the stage. Alternately, you can head up to Deck 12 which overlooks this area and have a really nice view!

If your family is up for it, around 10:30 the Buccaneer Blast fireworks take place, and there isn't a bad place on Decks 11 and 12 Midship to view these fireworks! That is pretty late for the little ones, and my kids tend to tire out before then, though lately they've been determined to make it for the fireworks, so you never know!

Have fun as you plan over these next couple of months until you set sail, Brent!
