We are sailing on the Disney Wonder next month. Our 3 year old is newly potty trained but we are worried she might be too shy to ask to use the restroom at kids club when we are at Palo dinner. Can we put her in a pull up just in case? Thanks!

Welcome back, Rebecca! Congratulations on your daughter being newly potty trained! What a wonderful accomplishment! I remember those days and the celebrations that ensued when our kiddos were finally diaper free! Hooray!

I also remember my son being newly potty trained when we first set sail with Disney and he was just old enough to enjoy the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab with his big sister! We couldn't get the kids to leave the clubs, as they were having too much fun! To this day, we still have a hard time getting our kids to say goodbye to the amazing counselors who lead them in the activities day and night in the Youth Clubs. Your little princess will have such fun there!

I'd suggest that when you first board the ship, you head up to the Oceaneer Club and Lab for the Open House hours, when parents get to explore the clubs with their kids. Show her around and specifically show her where the restroom is and how to get there from all the different areas of the club. Have her practice walking there a few times from different rooms in the club, so she is familiar with it. There is certainly no harm in sending her in a pull-up just in case. But, know that the counselors can't help in the restrooms, so if she needs you, the counselors will call or text you on through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Hopefully, she'll be all set and delight in her independence in the clubs so you can relax and know she's in great hands enjoying some pretty amazing entertainment while you enjoy an adult night out at Palo!

Have so much fun planning this adventure, Rebecca, and please stop back with other questions as you count down to the big sail date. We're happy to help!
