Ahoy, Kate!
Your "WONDER"ous voyage is this week! I recently returned from a sailing on the newly re-imagined Disney Wonder and know what a fantastic vacation you have to look forward to in just a few days. I'm still in awe over the new Broadway-style show, Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and the one-of-a-kind dining experience offered at Tiana's Place! Your mouth will be watering as soon as you open the menu, and the delectable desserts are the icing on the cake! I couldn't decide, so I tried two including the melt in your mouth Buttermilk Beignets! So delicious!
I love your idea to get up early to soak in a sunrise at sea with a warm cup of joe! The only time I've done it was on the upper decks relaxing on a lounge chair watching the sky come alive over the ocean. It was just so peaceful, and I did not mind missing a few hours of sleep to take it all in. Typically
Cove Café, the coffee shop onboard, starts brewing around 7:00 a.m. except for disembarkation morning when it opens at 6:30 a.m. But, there are two other options for an early cup of java-room service and the 24-hour beverage station. You'll find hanging room service menus in your stateroom that allows you to pre-order a continental-style breakfast along with juice and coffee before turning in the night before, and you do pick a specific window for delivery. If you just want a cup of coffee, you can swing by the beverage station on Deck 9. The two spots I recommend to watch the sunrise are on Deck 10 like I mentioned above or Deck 4. This is one of my favorite spots on the ship because it takes you back to feeling like you are cruising on a classic oceanliner like Walt and Lillian Disney sailed on years ago. The wooden, padded loungers are very comfortable, and a perfect spot to gaze out at the stunning oceanviews.
Best wishes for a "WONDER"ful time this weekend!
