    We are sailing on the Disney Wonder and I'm wondering if the magic bands work from our trips from the parks. Thank you.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It looks like you are just days away from your magical voyage aboard the Disney Wonder! If your crew is anything like mine, they are about to burst with excitement over the thought of all the fun they are about to have with Captain Mickey on the high seas! I'm sure many magical memories will be created on your Disney Cruise Line vacation next week!
    You've stopped by with a great question, Gretchen! Currently, Disney Cruise Line still uses "Key to the World" cards. Your "Key to the World" card will be used as your stateroom key, cruise identification for embarking and disembarking the ship and as your credit card onboard. If you have any sailors 12 and under in your party, they will receive a Disney Cruise Line magic band if they participate in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. They will use these bands to check in and out of the youth programming throughout your sailing. Unlike your magic bands on land, these will not be able to be taken on and off until the last night, so you'll want to make sure they are comfortable before they are snapped shut with a small round locking piece. If the band does get uncomfortable, just let a member of the youth staff know, and they can refit the band at any time! These bands can be picked up either in the cruise terminal at the youth programming registration or in the Oceaneer Club and Lab once onboard. If you notice the line is long in the terminal, I would definitely wait until you board. These bands do not incur a cost unless you decide to keep the band as a souvenir or need to replace a lost band. When we sailed a few months ago, the bands were around $13.00, but pricing is always subject to change. As long as the bands are turned in the last evening of the cruise, no charge will be added to your stateroom account.
