Welcome aboard, Trisha! You must be looking forward to setting sail to the great north this summer with Disney Cruise Line! You're in for such an amazing cruise!
It's great that you'll be flying in the day before the cruise, as that will allow you time to travel and arrive in Vancouver without the stress and fear of missing the ship the following day. Many cruisers opt to either take Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver or take the Quick Coach shuttle. You can research more information on these options online. I've heard better reviews from guests about their experience with Amtrak, especially because crossing the border is much easier and they've simply gone through customs once they reach Vancouver. The shuttle has required guests to disembark at the border to go through customs right there before climbing back on the shuttle to continue to Vancouver. A little less hassle is worth it for me, and the gorgeous views and the fun experience of the train add some extra magic to your trip, so that's the way I'd recommend, Trisha. Some guests also choose to rent a car for the one-way trip from Seattle to Vancouver, so that's an option as well.
I hope that information points you in the right direction as you continue to research which means of travel will be best for your family. Have fun planning, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out my fellow Disney Cruise Line Mom Nancy's
