Ahoy, Pamela!
Recently, Disney Cruise Line announced the dates of their
"Halloween on the High Seas" cruises. It appears that your family is going to just miss the start of these cruises, as the October 4 sailing is the first on the Disney Magic that will have Halloween activities.
I will, however, recommend that you look into attending
"Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party" at Walt Disney World while you are there. I am attending this party for the first time this year, and I can't wait! This is one of the few times that your whole family can head into the Magic Kingdom with costumes on. I have been to "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" in the past, and have never been disappointed. I have heard that the Halloween activities are even better!
Don't forget that there will also be a
Pirate Night on your cruise. This is definitely my favorite night onboard, partially because I get to dress in my pirate-y best and partly because there are fireworks at sea. I will advise that you head to Deck 10, starboard side, for the best fireworks viewing.
I hope you have an amazing and MAGICal land and sea vacation. Please visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions that you have before you head to Florida.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
