Ahoy there, Janelle! Thanks for sailing on in to SEA us here at planDisney.
My very first Disney Cruise Line vacation was on the Disney Magic. I loved it so much that I have set sail with Captain Mickey more than 20 times since then! There are activities for all ages, I bet you will find MORE than you could ever do on those two glorious days at sea.
Both of your sons are the perfect age to enjoy the
Oceaneer Club. On the Disney Magic, the club has MARVEL Superhero Academy, where the boys can try out their favorite Marvel characters’ weapons at S.H.I.E.L.D. command post. They can become the size of toys in Andy’s Room, which is my favorite place in the club to visit. My children also enjoyed many of the art activities going on throughout the day in the Oceaneer Club.
On a sea day, our family loves to attend the different Disney trivia games that happen throughout the day. Disney Tune Trivia is probably our favorite, this will be listed on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. You can even favorite different activities and the app will notify you 15 minutes prior to the start. If your family enjoys a thrill, be sure to visit the
AquaDunk, which is a water slide that drops you and shoots you out over the ocean in a clear tube.
Bring some of your favorite movie theater candy and plan to watch a movie in the
Buena Vista Theatre. Here there will be some first-run movies, as well as some older favorites. This schedule will also be on the DCL app. We loved watching “Jungle Cruise” late at night on our cruise in August. Speaking of movies, the “funnel vision” huge television screen by the Goofy pool will also run movies continuously for the duration of your cruise. This schedule can be found on the app as well.
Our family has been to Cozumel a few times. My children were just about the ages of your boys when we went to Dolphinaris and went into the ocean with the dolphins there. It was such a thrill, and my children still talk about it 8 years later. We have also gone to Xplor Park, which was fun but there was so much to do that we didn’t get to do it all. I would recommend sticking with a Disney Cruise Line
Port Adventure in Cozumel.
I hope you have an amazing time sailing on the Disney Magic in March. Be sure to say “hi” to First Mate Goofy for me!
Bon Voyage,
Tracy
