Welcome aboard, MaryBeth! You are certainly going to be kicking off the New Year on the right note by setting sail on the Disney Magic in January!
You'll have just missed the Very Merrytime Cruises that Disney does throughout November and December, and the Christmas decorations will come down. Somehow Disney works their magic both in the parks and on the ships and those elaborate decorations magically disappear with seaming ease in such a short amount of time. I still don't understand how it all happens so quickly and seamlessly, but that's Disney for you - they are simply magical! You might find that a few decorations still remain, but for the most part, the Christmas celebrations will have ended by the time you set sail, MaryBeth.
Don't be disappointed though, because no matter when you sail, there is such excitement and fun in store onboard Disney's ships. You're especially lucky because you'll be setting sail on the newly re-imagined Disney Magic. As I write this, the Magic is sailing across the Atlantic after having been in dry dock in Spain for the past month or so. The ship has been completely re-imagined, adding even more special touches all over. Take a look at the
Magic's new enhancements you will find when you set sail in January. I'm headed off to sail on the Magic's re-launch next week and can't wait to experience all the new features myself!
Have fun as you continue to plan, MaryBeth. I'm happy to help if you have other questions before you set sail!
