Hi Breana,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Sounds like you have a fantastic Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon! And yes, YAY for grandmas! My daughters are grown now, but we cherish the memories of Disney vacations with grandmas. They were there to lend a hand when needed and, most importantly, created core memories for our family.
It sounds like you have a
Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. I often sail with a group of friends and we find these rooms spacious and comfortable for multiple adults. The stateroom features a queen-size bed that does not split into twins. But no worries! Your stateroom will include a single convertible sleep sofa, which is comfortable for adults. If your stateroom indicates that it sleeps five, you will have a super comfy twin-size "murphy bed" that pulls down from the wall near the verandah.
Each evening, your Stateroom Host will make up the beds you choose to use and in the morning, they will be magically put away so that you have plenty of space during the day. The linens for all beds are the same luxurious quality, so no one misses out. There is a privacy curtain that can be drawn between the queen-size bed and the rest of the room. Whoever sleeps on the twin-size bed has the advantage of a perfect view out to the verandah, so it is a great trade-off. I sleep like a baby no matter which bed I'm in on a Disney Cruise, so I hope your crew will too!
Breana, I hope you have made plans for the grandmas to have a little R&R for themselves! I suggest offering them some time at
Senses Spa & Salon's Rainforest Room or perhaps enjoying a special
adult-exclusive dining experience or
activity together while the grandkids enjoy the
Youth Clubs or "it's a small world nursery!" for a few hours.
Please let us know if you have other questions as you plan your vacation; we are here to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
