    We are sailing on the Disney Fantasy this May 2013 and I was wondering if plaid shorts and a polo shirt would be ok for my son and my husband to wear to dinner on the regular dining nights, not the formal or semi-formal nights?

    It won't be long now before you are waving Bon Voyage to Port Canaveral as you set sail for your Caribbean voyage!  I'm sure you can't wait for May to arrive! 
    Disney Cruise Line does ask that Guests do not wear shorts in the main dining rooms for dinner.  I have dressed my son in shorts and a polo shirt for the cruise casual nights, but I always try to encourage my husband to wear pants.  He would much rather wear his shorts so he usually goes by our stateroom after dinner to put his shorts back on.  The main dining rooms are cool so I think he is actually more comfortable in his pants during dinner.  Entry won't be denied for shorts so if you can't convince your husband, don't worry.
