We are sailing on the Disney Fantasy on May 20th, 2017. Is there internet access on the ship? Is there wireless internet for our personal laptops? We will need to stay in contact with our business at home and would like to understand the options!

    Ahoy, Kristen!

You are only about a month away from an amazing week in the Caribbean on the Disney Fantasy! My family just returned from a magical sailing on this vessel and is wishing we could go back and do it again! We especially loved the entertainment this cruise. From the live Broadway-style shows, to the engaging variety acts, to seeing the live-action movie Beauty and the Beast in the Walt Disney Theatre, Disney knocked it out of the park. It was a very special and memorable week for us, and I hope your family will experience the same when it's your turn real soon!

Although I "try" to disconnect while we are at sea, my husband always needs to check in with work throughout the week so typically we both end up taking advantage of the Connect@Sea Packages offered onboard. Currently, there are four options-"Pay-As-You-Go" or purchasing a small, medium or large MB package. Pricing can change at any time, but when we sailed they ranged from around $20.00 for the small (100 MB) package to around $90.00 for the large (1,000 MB). You'll want to stop by the Connect@Sea Desk on Deck 4, Midship to pick up some helpful information about pricing, how to connect and a FAQ that you can reference throughout the week. You can also ask the crew member any questions you may have about using the internet on the ship. My biggest issue is remembering to turn things off while using my iPhone or computer at sea so the megabytes aren't consumed too quickly. This information is on the handout available at the desk, and I always double check with the crew member as well!

The internet will be slower than what you are use to at home because it runs on satellite technology, but it does work pretty well. Some areas of the ship like Cove Café do get a better reception so be sure to move locations if possible.

    Hope this helps, Kristen!
