Ahoy Lori!
A cruise onboard the Disney Dream for your parent's 50th is a wonderful way to celebrate this magical milestone! Be sure to stop by Guest Services upon boarding to pick up "We're Celebrating" buttons for your entire family to wear during your vacation.
My first thought is to book them or just the adults in your family a meal at one of the adult-only dining restaurants onboard-
Remy or
Palo. Reservations are taken the day of embarkation so if you don't have any luck online in the Planning Center be sure to check the front page of your daily cruise newsletter for details. Another idea is let the ship's photographers take a special family photo of your entire crew that you can have framed for them. Disney Cruise Line does allow Guests to drop off two items per stateroom to have signed by the characters so you can surprise them with a couple of unique mementos. A photo mat, Mickey shaped plate, an ornament, a book about the Disney Dream, a wooden letter (last name initial), or a wooden number 50 are all ideas you may want to consider.
My last idea is to have a special gift sent to their stateroom. There are lots of items available that can be purchased online in the
Gifts and Amenities Section of the Disney Cruise Line website. There are in-room stateroom decorations and Celebration Cakes in this section as well!
I'm know your parent's 50th celebration will be just perfect, Lori! Please let me know if you have any other last minute questions!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
