Welcome aboard, Alison!
Disney Cruise Line's
staterooms are pretty spacious compared to other cruise lines, so I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well the Disney Imagineers have designed those staterooms to make use of every square inch!
My kids always argue over the bunk beds. Your stateroom will have a set of bunk beds, with one pulling down from the ceiling and the bottom bunk being a couch that flips to become a bed too. Both kids always want that coveted top bunk. So, the only way I can work this out is whoever had it on the last cruise gets the bottom bunk, and next cruise can have the top again. I imagine that with four adults and one child, your child will be the one sleeping in the top bunk! There is a rail so my kiddos have never fallen out, just in case you were worried.
Besides the bunk beds, there is a queen-sized bed for two other adults, and that fifth guest will sleep in a murphy bed that folds down from the wall, opposite the bunk beds. Four adults and one child will be tight in your stateroom, but since there are so many
activities and events going on all day and well into the night all around the ship, the stateroom is mostly just for sleeping anyway. So get out and enjoy the ship and all that it has to offer since
Disney Cruise Line vacations include so much!
I hope that helps as you prep for this trip, Alison! Stop back with more questions before you set sail. We're happy to help!
