We are sailing on the Disney Dream on August 17th. Do you know if Planes fire and rescue will be playing in the theater on the ship? If not, do you know what is scheduled to play? Thank you.

Hi Jennifer, welcome back! We're just over a month until your family sets sail on the Disney Dream! I bet the days can't go by fast enough for you!

My son is so excited to see "Disney's Planes: Fire and Rescue" when it opens this weekend, and it sounds like you have a Planes fan in your family too. One of the great things about sailing with Disney Cruise Line is that they are able to premier Disney films at sea on the same days that those films open back home in theaters. That means that this new movie should be playing in the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Dream when you set sail in a few weeks since it will also premier this Friday on the ship.

Currently, the movies playing on the Dream are as follows:

    Maleficent
    Million Dollar Arm
    Bears
    Captain America: Winter Soldier
    Muppets Most Wanted
    Need For Speed
    Frozen
    Finding Nemo 3D

That schedule may change slightly with the addition of the new "Planes: Fire and Rescue", but I hope that at least gives you a good idea of what may be playing. Once you board the ship and receive your Personal Navigator, the ship's schedule of events and activities, you'll see exactly which films are scheduled for your particular sailing.

Have fun counting down these last few weeks until you set sail, Jennifer! Stop back if you have any other questions!
