Welcome aboard, Kim! Living in Indiana, you're my neighbor to the West, since I'm in Ohio. As I watch the snow flurries fall outside my window right now, I'm certainly dreaming of my next Disney Cruise Line adventure to the warm waters of the Bahamas and Caribbean, and it sounds like you are too! Your cruise will be here before you know it!
Disney Cruise Line allows guests to bring their own drinks onboard, yes, including bottled water. You'll just need to carry it on with your carry-on items as you board the ship. Drinks cannot be send through in your checked luggage. So, grab a case or two and bring it along in a rolling carry-on tote to make it easier to carry. However, if that sounds like too much hassle, check out the
Gifts and Amenities page, where bottled water packages that are available for pre-order, to be waiting in your stateroom when you arrive. They're a bit more costly than buying and carrying on your own, but it certainly makes for an easier check-in day!
Just a heads up about what my big water-drinking family and I learned on our first Disney cruise. The water onboard is all filtered and tastes great, so even though I'm pretty picky about water taste, I find it perfectly delicious to fill up my water bottle onboard at the
beverage station on the pool deck with lots of ice and water to drink throughout the day. And believe me, you'll want to drink lots of water because even in April, you'll have really warm temperatures in the Bahamas, so you want to be sure that everyone stays well hydrated.
Happy planning, Kim and please stop back to visit us again with any other questions over the next few months before you set sail. We're happy to help!
