Ahoy, Kristin!
Can you believe your cruise is NEXT MONTH? Your family will absolutely love the gorgeous Disney Dream. From our experience of being in a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, with all the the beds turned down at night, it was a bit of a squeeze to get to the verandah.
You can see on this
floor plan that a stateroom in this category that sleeps five people will have a sofa that flips into a twin bed, an upper pull-down bed, and a murphy bed that essentially comes out across, kind of blocking the verandah doors. I do remember being able to access the verandah with our girls in bed, but having to carefully maneuver around them.
Something that we did almost every night when our girls were younger and going to bed was order
room service. We would get warm cookies and milk for the girls and a cheese platter for ourselves to enjoy on the verandah while the kids got to sleep. It is very peaceful to sit outside, gazing at the ocean.
I hope you have a wonderful cruise on the Disney Dream! Please visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any last minute questions before you set sail.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
