Hi JanaLee!
I love this question because booking another cruise while onboard is my number one cruise tip!!! It will definitely make disembarking the ship a bit easier knowing you have another magical voyage to look forward to in the near future! I'm sure you have been following the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disney Cruise Line Facebook Page to see all the latest happenings with the Mediterranean sailing this summer! The new ports of call are fabulous, and the Port Adventure Team has outdone themselves with all the adventures they are offering ashore! It will definitely be a trip of a lifetime for your family!
Currently, only 2013-2014 dates are available for bookings so you will need to book a "dummy date" for your future cruise. When you book onboard, you will want to pick out a cruise for the end of 2014. (Cruises do not need to be paid off until 75 days before sailing so this gives you plenty of time to switch dates.) It can be any sailing because right now we don't know if Disney Cruise Line will be sailing to Europe in 2016. Once 2016 dates are released, you can move your cruise to the sailing of your choice (hopefully the Med), and still receive the incentives you will receive when you book next month. Incentives are always subject to change, but currently Disney Cruise Line is offering 10% on your future cruise, up to $200 in shipboard credit, and a reduced deposit amount. Once you get home, you can transfer the reservation to your travel agent and will need to do so within 30 days to receive the agent's incentives as well!
I hope this makes sense, JanaLee! Please write back if I can help you further!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
