Ahoy, Gail!
The scenic views are non-stop on an
Alaskan Cruise! You'll definitely want to layer up and enjoy the fresh air to see the picturesque scenery and amazing wildlife. When my family cruised to Alaska on the
Disney Wonder, one of our favorite spots to be was on Deck 4. There are plenty of cushioned chaise lounges and blankets to snuggle up and take in the spectacular sights. Last summer we spotted dolphins and whales from this location and were able to capture some fabulous pictures and videos from this lower deck. We also enjoyed being there while the Captain rotated the ship in Tracy Arm. It was an awesome sight to see seals up close on the blocks of ice. Speaking of Tracy Arm, we spent most of our day on Deck 10, Midship. We claimed our spot around 9:30 a.m. and enjoyed watching the Captain navigate the ship to Sawyer Glacier. The Naturalist spoke periodically, and his knowledge and excitement for what we were experiencing as we cruised along was so interesting! Another one of our go-to areas was the
Outlook Cafe on Deck 10, Midship. This cafe is only for adults and is the perfect spot for a warm beverage or cocktail before or after dinner! We definitely split our time between Decks 4 and 10 throughout the cruise because there was always something beautiful to see!
I hope I've given you a good idea for what to expect when you venture out on deck in Alaska, Gail! I hope you have the most "Wonder"ful time sailing to the Last Frontier with Disney Cruise Line!
