    We sail on the Magic to the Bahamas in May and are wondering about Embarkation Day. I see that there is an Open House at the Oceaneers Club. What else is going on on the ship before it sails? Will we be able to eat? Swim? Thanks! Excited!

    Hi Donna!

    You should be VERY excited! In less than a month you will be setting sail for a fabulous Bahamian adventure on the magnificent Disney Magic!  I have great news for you because as soon as you board the ship, the fun begins!  I like to stop by Guest Services to pick up the daily cruise newsletter, The Personal Navigator as soon as I board.  This handy guide provides you with everything you need to know about your first magical afternoon!  My family is usually hungry so we head straight for lunch at either Parrot Cay or Topsider Buffet.  After a delicious first meal, we use the bathrooms on Deck Nine to change into our swimsuits. (We always bring them along in our carry-on bag.)  Then it is time for some splashtacular fun in the Mickey Pool, Mickey Slide, Goofy's Pool and Mickey's Splash Zone! 

    Although my crew loves to swim, there are other activities you might also consider on your embarkation day.  A Walking Ship Tour provided by the Cruise Staff is usually planned for 2:00 and 2:30, and the Vista Spa & Salon is open for tours and a raffle!  Your crew might also like exploring this amazing vessel on their own. It is truly spectacular from stem to stern.  Your stateroom will be ready around 1:30 so don't forget to plan ahead and pack anything you may need on the first afternoon in your carry-on bag.
