Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!
It makes me happy to hear that wishes do come true! I cannot wait for you to make so many precious memories with your niece onboard the
Disney Dream next month.
My young pirates love to spend time in the
youth clubs when we sail. In fact, we had to create a rule that we all eat dinner together each night, otherwise we may not see them very often onboard! My daughter loves the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab. She enjoys making friends during all of the scheduled activities and playing games with the youth counselors in these spaces for pirates three to twelve years old.
Over the years, my children have always described the counselors as being interactive, participating in the events with them. Both my pirates have participated in games on the interactive play floor, channeled their inner mad scientist with Super Sloppy Science and even learned how to cook with age appropriate cooking demonstrations in the Oceaneer Lab.
Your niece can choose to enjoy her time onboard in the Oceaneer Club or Lab, or she may decide to spend her time in
Edge if she would prefer to participate in activities targeted for the tween crowd ages 11 to 14 years old. My twelve year old son now prefers this space, as it gives pirates more independent activities to do together and a bit more freedom than the Oceaneer Lab and Club. Edge offers activities like scavenger hunts throughout the ship, video games and even some improve acting!
In all of the youth spaces, your niece can expect to interactive with the fun youth counselor team AND meet new friends from around the world! She is truly in for a great adventure during her cruise.
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions about your upcoming high seas adventure.
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
