Are the safari rides in the Magic Kingdom part of the park admission or an extra cost?

    Julia,

    Thanks for your question!

So I want to be sure to get this right. My family and I are huge fans of the Kilimanjaro Safaris at the Animal Kingdom Park. We also love the walking tours like the Maharajah Jungle Trek, the Discovery Island Trails, and the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trails. These give such great, up close views of animals in their habitats. There are a few special events & tours that can take you even deeper into the animal experience that are an extra charge, but the ones I list here are all part of standard park admission, and for most guests are enough for a fun-filled day of exploration.

The good news is that the Kilimanjaro Safaris and these other trails are part of the admission to the Animal Kingdom. But you did mention the Magic Kingdom in your question. Be sure to note that they are separate parks.

And just in case you are in the Magic Kingdom and want that exotic experience, then be sure to go on the Jungle Cruise. It is a fun escape into these worlds, and an attraction Must Do! for our family as well!

BOTTOM LINE: No, you don't have to pay extra for most of the animal experiences, though there are some special tours available if you want to dive in deeper.

I hope this helps you plan an amazing expedition!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
