I am running the Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon in a few weeks. I know that there are characters at points along the race. I'd love to stop and take pictures but I'm worried about my pace. Are the same characters typically at the post race party?

    Hi Heather!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is quickly approaching and just like you I couldn't be more excited!

While there is potential for some character overlap between those out on the course and those at the Post-Race Party, you'll find majority are unique to each event! This way runners can experience as many rare characters as possible between both.

If you haven't already, I would go and check your corral to give you an idea of where you'll be within the runner pack. To do this you'll want to visit the Runner Info tab then click on Waivers, here you'll enter your information and at the bottom of your waiver you'll see your bib number. If you go back under the Runner Info tab you'll see a link for Corrals which will tell you where you will start.

The pace of 16 minutes per mile is measured from the time the very last runner crosses the start line, so if you are able to give yourself some cushion between yourself and the very last person, you'll have some extra time to enjoy characters along the way!

Please let me know if you have any other questions before your upcoming runcation!
