I am running the Princess Half Marathon coming up in a few weeks. My group will be driving down so we will have a car. Is it best to drive our car to the race or take the disney bus? Hoping to have minimal walking but minimal waiting around as well!

    Hi Jamie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Disney Princess Half Marathon was my first runDisney race so it holds a special place in my heart! I think you are going to have an absolutely wondEARful time.

I have always taken the complimentary transportation that runDisney provides for runners the morning of the race. Road closures are often in place to keep the course cleared for the event so traffic can back up. In my experience, there have always been designated lanes for just the runDisney buses so I've never been concerned with missing my corral start. Half participants should board the buses no later than 4 AM to ensure they have enough time.

Regardless of whether you drive or take the provided transportation you will have a walk to the start line. Drop off and parking is near the finish line for runners to check their bags if necessary. In years past it's been approximately a 15 minute walk from this point to the corrals near the start line. This is not affected either way by the transportation choice you make.

I hope you have a great race and please let me know if you have any other questions!
