    I will be running in the 10K this January. I want to rent a locker the morning of the race. Do you know if the lockers are self-service or do they need to be rented from a cast member. Will I be able to access the lockers prior to the race?

    Hi Regina!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. At this point Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is just around the riverbend, and it sounds to me like you are in full on planning mode!

    There are single use lockers near the bus drop off locations in front of Epcot that do not require park admission or Cast Member assistance to rent. For these lockers you can only use quarters and payment is required after each use. These lockers measure 23” x 16” x 29” and cost $1 per use. You can keep stuff in these lockers for 24 hours before it is moved to the Lost & Found location. While this will be accessible the morning of the race, I'm afraid you may find it is quite a trek out of your way and extra mileage you don't want to do before a 10K! Instead I'd recommend utilizing the gEAR Bag Check. When you pick up your bib at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo you'll be provided with a clear plastic bag and a bag check sticker that you can use to check your belongings the morning of the race. I think you'll find this is much more centrally located for the running events and a convenient service that doesn't cost you anything extra!
