I am running the dopey run. I have a 6 year and want to find daycare for her while I'm running. Is this available at disney?

Hello, Jamal! The Dopey Challenge is the pinnacle of runDisney events. Four days of 3:00 AM wake up calls to run a total of 48.6 miles, might sound crazy to some; however, I think it is the perfect Disney Bucket List item!

While I've never risen to the challenge myself, I've done several runDisney 10Ks and Disney Princess Half Marathons, and I often take my 11-year-old son with me. On race mornings, I always use an in-room babysitting service called Kid's Nite Out. In my experiences, their sitters are kind and professional, and you can arrange for them to come to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room as early as 3:00 AM. This allows my son to sleep-in to his heart's content, and when he wakes up, the sitter feeds him a light breakfast that I provide (they will also take your child down to eat in the Resort Hotel's Quick Service if you wish). They always arrive with a bag filled with pixie dust, including board games and crafts that would delight kids of all ages. I'd recommend calling soon to set up a reservation; Kid's Nite Out can be reached at (407) 828-0920, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.

Jamal, make sure to sport that fancy bling in the Parks after your races. Dopey Challengers earn not only the four individual event medals but both Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge Medal and Dopey Challenge Medal—for a grand total of six! Best of luck!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania! I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique. It's incredible how many people you can find who love talking about "The Most Magical Place On Earth!" I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
